Welcome to our Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!
We’re done trying to make this a blog hop, but still feel free to participate! Maybe someday we’ll try to make it happen as a blog hop again, but right now we feel like Gretchen trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.
This morning Kim is reading:
Illegally Yours by Kate Meader
This is what Kim hopefully has time to read this morning. It sounds super adorable (Badass Divorce lawyer falls for his client's soon to be ex-sister-in-law who happens to be a whiskey sommelier). And it's a series, which I feel like I now need to check out.
This morning Kate is reading:
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
This is a re-read for me, I chose it for November's book club for the bookstore. I forgot how heavy on the romance was in the book, but I'm hoping all of the history and action intrigue the members of our book club who aren't into romance. It's also weird re-reading this, because I've read all three books, and so much happens in all three that I honestly couldn't remember what all happened in what book. And the whole comparison to "It's like Twilight, for Adults!" definitely seems appropriate now and then. So much angst, so much wine! I still love the audiobook narration, and look forward to the new book... even though it has a different narrator. It should make for a good book club discussion!
And I know that November has been a bit of a fail for us and this blog. Kim is super busy with school, and I've been working a lot as well. With the nights seeming to come so early, all I want to do when I come home is snuggle up and get ready for bed. But December is coming up, and I almost always start blogging a lot before the new year, as it seems to re-invigorate me. I'd like to challenge myself (and maybe you) to post more in December. So I'll be sharing favorite books of the year, and maybe doing Top Ten Tuesdays again. I am ready to say goodbye to 2018!
