Oh, December. What a mixed month! Both Kim and I had time off (as you can see from Kim’s amount of books read). I took a week of planned vacation, and then 3 days more after Christmas when the flu struck Casa Towery. We had our great book club party. A few of us from book club (not Kim) went and saw male strippers at the local theater (hey, that counts as art, right?!), and a few of us (again, not Kim) saw Pitch Perfect 3 on Christmas, although Kim and a few other book clubbers went later. Presents were bought, money was spent and then overspent, and now we’re seeing what 2018 is going to bring our way.
2017 was a roller coaster- Kim and I joined forces here at the blog… and then we both kind of stopped blogging much. I’m hoping to keep up in 2018. I’m cutting out challenges and some other things in order to maybe review as I go… but we’ll see how long that lasts. We did a pretty decent job with Sundays in Bed, and I did do a lot of Top Ten Tuesdays, but reviews were fairly thin on the ground. I think I managed one in December? Which is one more than I wrote in November. Already I’ve written 3 for January, so that’s improvement already!
I don’t really make resolutions with a capital R, but I hope to be kinder in 2018- to others and to myself. To read some great books. To spend a little more time on our blog and in our bookish community- especially on Litsy. And take some time away from the electronics and social media aspect of life and just go enjoy it. To finally catch up on laundry (what? I have a whole year, it could happen at least once!).
