Top Ten Bookish Places I Want to Visit!
Alone- this might seem like an odd choice, because it’s a horror story, but I’d love to visit the house Seda lives in back when it was a Murder Mystery bed and breakfast!
Caraval- I love magic, and I’m so looking forward to Legendary! Until then, I am eagerly awaiting my invite to Caraval.
Ready Player One- yes, this is partly a dystopian nightmare, but I definitely want to visit the Oasis and plug myself into an 80’s movie!
The Raven Boys- I might live in Virginia, but I would love to live in the town of Henrietta and visit Blue’s house of psychics.
Harry Potter- I want to have gone to Hogwarts, to walk the streets of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, and to live in a magical community like Godric’s Hollow.
The Night Circus- of all the places on my list (yes, that includes HP) this is the place I most wish was real. I want to be a Reveur and follow the circus around the world, I want to come home at dawn smelling of cinnamon and dreams.
Simply Irresistible- Lucky Harbor seems like a place teeming with super attractive men, so I wouldn’t mind spending a weekend there with my book club friends, sighing over the hotness. 😉
The Care and Feeding of a Stray Vampire- Half-Moon Hollow is definitely a place I’d be happy to call home some day!
Odd Thomas- I fell in love with both Odd Thomas and Pico Mundo, and it’s a place I’d love to visit, assuming there aren’t an infestation of bodachs around at the time.
Warcross- I’m actually still reading this book, but like the Oasis in Ready Player One, I long for a fun online world that I could spend some time in.
There are also lots of cozy mystery book settings that I would kill to visit, and The Night Bookmoble of my own that I’m still trying to find… What are some of you places?
