Welcome to our Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!
We’re done trying to make this a blog hop, but still feel free to participate! Maybe someday we’ll try to make it happen as a blog hop again, but right now we feel like Gretchen trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.
This morning Kim is reading:
Chasing Christmas Eve (Heartbreaker Bay #4) by Jill Shalvis
Kate here: Kim and I are all about the Christmas romances, and I’m glad she’s reading this one. Kim is the one who introduced me to Jill Shalvis and really got me into contemporary romances. Thanks, Kim! I don’t how much reading she’s going to get done, because I imagine it’s back to work Monday, but Christmas break is almost here!
This morning Kate is reading:
Monstress, Vol. 1: Awakening by Marjorie M. Liu
I plan on reading a bunch of graphic novels that I’ve been hoarding- at home and from the library, for a end of the year treat. I’ve barely started this one, but I’m intrigued already! I’m taking a weeks staycation in December because I’ve been working a lot and there’s stuff I want to do around the house (you know, like cleaning it) and just some true rest and relaxation. I need a mental break, but thankfully even during my more hectic, frantic days recently I still have books to keep my from completely losing my shiz (although the argument could be made that I’ve already lost my shiz years ago, and to that I have no real rebuttal).
The Hubs and I are also spending more time with Netflix lately- Mindhunter and then Stranger Things 2. But he’s not a huge binge watcher, so getting him to sit for more than one episode at a time is both frustrating (who needs sleep! Let’s watch them all!) and just the Adulting I need (because going to bed early is probably the only thing that’s kept my brain from short circuiting). So last night, based on a good friend’s suggestion, we started Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and we loved the first episode!
And then because the Hubs was not down for more than one episode last night, but I was feeling the Netflix vibe, I started The Good Place, which I am also enjoying:
I’m also halfway thru Slasher Season 2, but I felt a little more like bright colors last night, but I’m enjoying it too!
