Welcome to our Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!
We’re done trying to make this a blog hop, but still feel free to participate! Maybe someday we’ll try to make it happen as a blog hop again, but right now we feel like Gretchen trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.
This morning Kim is reading:
Today I’ll be listening to Crooked Kingdom. I got new carpet installed this week so now it’s time to put all the stuff I took out of the rooms back in. It’s a slow process, mostly because I’m going through ALL THE THINGS and I’m not putting anything away that I don’t need to keep for either practical, necessary reasons or a few things will be kept for sentimental reasons (I really need to take a HARD look at this stuff though). I’m also excited because I’ve already finished TWO books this month. May is a tough month for me to read because of teacher stuff, but finishing two books in the first week makes me feel good. 🙂
This morning Kate is reading:
Into the Water by Paula Hawkins
I actually have a busy week ahead and no days off, but at least I get to listen to this thriller. There are a lot of characters, which can be hard to keep track of in audio format, but I’m loving the creepy legend of the Drowning Pool and all the women who have ended up in the water throughout the centuries. It’s different from the Girl on the Train, but so far I like what I’ve heard- although the town is full of people who are complete douches to each other. Everyone is always yelling at everyone else, maybe they need to pump some mood elevators into the town’s water… It’s also mentioned in the book that the town is drinking the water that women have died in, which is seriously disturbing and now I might further ruin the environment by only drinking bottled water from bodies of water that have never contained a body. Sorry, future generations!
