Welcome BACK to my Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!
I know, I know, I switched to In Bed With a Book meme, but I’m switching back. I’m done trying to make this a blog hop, but still feel free to participate! Maybe someday I’ll try to make it happen as a blog hop again, but right now I feel like Gretchen trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.
This morning I’m reading:
Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty
So I’m pretty close to the end of this one. Oh, I know, you’re thinking, but Kate, you still have over 5 hours left! But the audiobook is just over 17 hours long, and I listen at 2x speed.
Previously, I’ve only listened to one other book by Moriarty- Big Little Lies, which I enjoyed. This one is definitely similar, and it definitely makes me think of that saying “We’re all the hero in our own story”. It’s amazing how much gets lost due to miscommunication. Like in Big Little Lies, there’s lost of back and forth, twists and turns, and a slow revealing of what happened.
Which is why I listen to her books on audio. I was thisclose to taking a peek at the hardcover copy we have at work yesterday because the suspense kills me. But I was a good girl (plus it helped that at least one of the major plot points was finally revealed during the drive to work).
For those of you interested in the Libro.fm audiobook site and app, you have until 9/30 to use the code FOUNTAINSUMMER to get 20% off your purchase. They’re a newer company that works with Independent bookstores help sell audiobooks. I am never not listening to an audiobook, so this has been a most welcome newcomer to my audiobook game.
What? I have game, people. Bookworm game, but game nevertheless. 😉
What are you reading (or wish you had time to read) this morning? Are you reading the book you thought you’d be reading, or has today found you with a surprise?
