Welcome BACK to my Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!
I know, I know, I switched to In Bed With a Book meme, but I’m switching back. I’m done trying to make this a blog hop, but still feel free to participate! Maybe someday I’ll try to make it happen as a blog hop again, but right now I feel like Gretchen trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.
This morning I’m reading:
With Malice by Eileen Cook
This book starts off with the amnesia storyline- which I either love or hate, depending on what the author does with it. So far I’m loving what Cook has done, mostly because it actually feels like the main character really is in a hospital, and also because there’s already a twist. Jill’s all bummed about being in a car accident, but she begs her parents to let her still go on her trip to Italy in a few weeks and their all like- “Honey, you went to Italy, that’s where you had your accident”, and my jaw dropped along with Jill’s. This, btw, is in the book summary, so I’m not spoiling anything. Like Jill, I would be super upset if I went to ITALY and couldn’t even remember being there.
That sucks big time, Jill, I feel you, but I have a feeling more shiz is coming your way and no offense, but I can’t wait. 😉
Also, today is my birthday! The Hubs woke me up with presents and coffee- and tonight there shall be cake (okay, technically I had cake last night with my book club gals, but shhhh). My plans today are a little low key- I’m going to go work at the bookstore, because honestly being surrounded by books all day is a present all in itself. When you get to the age I am birthdays are no longer booze soaked celebrations (and honestly mine have always tended to be more book soaked than booze soaked). My age? Well, according to some people it’s 19, 21, 29, 32 (gosh, I miss my early 30’s), or 39 if you insist on truth.
What are you reading (or wish you had time to read) this morning? Are you reading the book you thought you’d be reading, or has today found you with a surprise?
