Welcome BACK to my Sundays In Bed With… Meme! The meme that dares to ask what book has been in your bed this morning? Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed, or which book you wish you had time to read today!
I know, I know, I switched to In Bed With a Book meme, but I’m switching back. I’m done trying to make this a blog hop, but still feel free to participate! Maybe someday I’ll try to make it happen as a blog hop again, but right now I feel like Gretchen trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.
Firstly, HAPPY EASTER!!
Easter is here! Bring on my mom’s famous chocolate peanut butter eggs!
This morning I’m reading:
Midnight Crossroad (Midnight, Texas #1) by Charlaine Harris
I’ve been meaning to read this book since Harris announced it- how could I not, being a Midnight girl? In fact, if this town really existed, the Hubs and I would probably move there. But like most books, it caught my eye and then got added to my ever growing TBR list. I recently picked it up on sale on Audible, but what really made me start it, finally, was seeing book 2 on Netgalley. Which I applied for, and was approved for.
I’m mad at myself for not starting earlier!! Characters from past Harris books are now residents of Midnight- Bobo from the Lily Bard series is all grown up, and Manfred from the Harper Connelly books is the newest member of the community. I haven’t read the Aurora Teagarden books yet, but I think one of the residents from that series is in the town, and I suspect that a character from Sookie will be popping up soon. I really liked Manfred (I actually think the Harper books are superior to the Sookie series) and was so happy to see him here. Also, there’s Fiji Cavanaugh, who share’s my maiden name. You go, Cav!
I’m also just starting this book:
Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll
I thought this book was YA, for some reason, but it is not. I’m just in the very beginning, but I’m intrigued so far. I’m trying this new thing- requesting books from Netgalley and then actually READING them. So far, it’s working out. 😉
What are you reading (or wish you had time to read) this morning? Are you reading the book you thought you’d be reading, or has today found you with a surprise?
