A brand-new novel in an original series from popular romance author Molly Harper! When Sadie and Josh compete for the same Kentucky Tourism Commission job, sparks fly - turns out Kentucky really is for lovers.
Sadie Hutchins loves her job at the Kentucky Tourism Commission. Not only could her co-workers double as the cast of Parks and Recreation, but she loves finding the unusual sites, hidden gems, and just-plain-odd tourist attractions of her home state. She’s a shoo-in for the director’s job when her boss retires at the end of the year…until hotshot Josh Vaughn shows up to challenge her for the position.
Josh is all sophisticated polish while Sadie’s country comfort, and the two have very different ideas of what makes a good campaign. So when their boss pits them against each other in a winner-takes-all contest, they’re both willing to fight dirty if it means getting what they want. But it turns out what Josh and Sadie want could be each other - and Josh’s kisses are the best Kentucky attraction Sadie’s found yet!

I love audio books. In the author’s notes on the audio version of Joe Hill’s NOS4A2, he talks about how the first stories we learn are read to us. I listen to audio books when I’m in the car, shopping, and playing Candy Crush.
In typical book blogger fashion, I already have a tbr shelf just for audio books. Reviewing them is a bit more difficult, because I don’t take notes and I don’t always know how to spell the characters names. So these reviews will be a little different from my book reviews.
So, how weird is it to read a Molly Harper book that doesn’t contain supernatural creatures? Not weird at all! Harper can make her human men just as swoon worthy and hot blooded (or cold blooded in the case of her smexy vampires) as her furry or fanged leading men.
Sadie’s life is running along on the right track, with a soon to be big promotion… until it’s no longer a guarantee. She finds herself up against (in more ways than one- ba dum dum ching- I’m here all week folks!) a polished, sophisticated and and un-Sadie like as possible, Josh. Also, he’s a bonafide stud.
At first, it’s game on, but the attraction between the two is palpable. It was hard not to root for Sadie to win the job, but damn, I wanted her to get her man too! I can honestly say this book made me want to visit Kentucky, which is not a sentence I ever thought I’d have an occasion to type. And it was definitely Sadie’s vision of Kentucky I wanted to see.
Like in all of Harper’s books, there’s plenty of awesome supporting characters- including Kelsey and her unrequited Nerd Herd crush, Charlie (whom we’ll see in a later book, squee!). I honestly can’t recommend her books enough.
Amanda Ronconi narrates once more. She is the yin to Harper’s yang. These two just need to buy the best friends forever necklace already!
