It’s that time of year, where Readathons are in the air! You’d think I’d be a little tired after coming off of a 24 Hour Readathon, but I always think of Dewey’s Readathon as mostly a chance to really interact with other bloggers. Week long readathons are for knocking my tbr pile down a bit!
Spring Into Horror Readathon starts at midnight tonight. Like it says on the website, don’t let the word horror scare you away! Horror is what you define it as- maybe you have a thriller or a mystery, or finally read that paranormal book sitting in your pile. Or maybe you’ve unearthed your collection of Goosebumps. You just need to read one horror-ish book. Here’s what I hope to get to this week:
Oh, but wait, Midnight Book Girl! Aren’t these the same books you posted for Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon?
Just kidding, never shut up, and never shut a book!
Okay, so yeah, I didn’t get much done in the way of reading on Readathon, but only because I was cheering my brains out.
I did read the graphic novel The Stand Vol. 1 Captain Tripps, but other than that, the list is untouched.
I also plan on finished The Prophet by Michael Kortya and listening to some audio books.
Not sure which ones, but definitely some more Horror-ish ones. Or at least ones with sexy vampires.
I’m also declaring my intentions to do Bout of Books!
I have lots of books to get off my shelves before I head to BEA in May. And I love these week long readathons. I read a lot most weeks anyway (my job has a lot of downtime because I have elderly clients who like to nap). But some days I get distracted by stupid stuff… like Odd Socks or Quiz Up (where I take quizzes on things like BOOKS, so that almost counts as reading, right?), which have replaced my Candy Crush addiction, only they don’t cause me to cry or tear my hair out, so that’s a good thing. Plus, May is my birthday month, what better present to myself than reading ALL THE BOOKS?
